My Vision

What Constituents Are Saying

  • Walking through King Township Forests

Steve is a genuine champion of our community whose commitment extends far beyond Council. As an active volunteer with several local organizations, I have seen first-hand that Steve consistently shows up to support community events, celebrate local achievements and lend a helping hand whenever it’s needed.

    — Patti Skrypek

  • Over the years I've watched Mayor Pellegrini lead King Township with consistency and follow-through. He doesn't just propose projects — he sees them through to completion, and that reliability matters for a community that's growing as quickly as ours. He's accessible, he listens to residents, and he brings a steady, practical approach to the decisions facing this township. As King continues to grow, we need leadership that can manage that growth responsibly, and that's exactly what Steve has provided. I'm supporting him because he's earned it, and because I trust him to keep doing the job well."

    Bill Takhar, Nobleton

  • Nobleton Neighborhood Watch sign with three red houses and police badge logo

Mayor Pellegrini has been a tremendous advocate and supporter of our Nobleton Neighborhood Watch program. His commitment to community safety and his collaboration with residents, police, and local leaders has helped make our program one of the largest in Ontario. We are grateful for his accessibility, proactive Mayorship, encouragement, and unwavering support in bringing our community and policing together to build a safer, stronger, and more connected township. There is a reason why King is a great place to live and in my humble opinion, it all starts with a leader who puts the community above his own interests. No other area can compare around the GTA.

    — Janice Williams, Nobleton Neighborhood Watch

  • Mayor Steve Pellegrini and the Mayor’s Office of King Township have been exceptional partners to work with throughout this past term. The Mayor’s hands-on approach to addressing issues—both large and small—has been of tremendous value to the residents he serves. His accessibility, responsiveness, and genuine commitment to the community have fostered confidence and delivered meaningful results. Mayor Pellegrini has a unique ability to bring together diverse stakeholders, build consensus, and create solutions that result in mutually beneficial outcomes. His collaborative leadership style has strengthened relationships across the public and private sectors while continuing to move King Township forward. I have had the privilege of working alongside Mayor Pellegrini and have witnessed firsthand his dedication to the long-term success of our community. I look forward to continuing to work with him and his office to build upon the significant progress that has already been made and, most importantly, to continue striving for excellence in everything we do. King Township has benefited greatly from Mayor Pellegrini’s leadership, and I am confident he will continue to serve the community with the same integrity, vision, and commitment in the years ahead.

  • I am proud to endorse the re-election of Steve Pellegrini as Mayor of King Township as I know that he works always with the motivation of making King the best place to live and work. I know this well as I have served with the Mayor on Council since 2010. Steve has shown strong leadership as the head of Council, ensuring our six councillors work together when confronted with very difficult and complex issues. For many of these issues there were no simple answers and often councillors had very different opinions. Steve works hard to keep up to date on the pulse of the community and is ready to make modifications to past plans when there are new challenges or when unexpected opportunities appear. There are important complex decisions ahead which will have lasting impacts on King residents and businesses. Not only does Steve know King’s residents and businesses well, but he also knows the interdependencies with other jurisdictions and organizations. While many of these issues originate far from our control, including environment, economy and provincial legislation, we need strategic and pragmatic actions to mitigate the risk and to exploit opportunities to the benefit of King. Given this critical time, it is important to re-elect Steve Pellegrini so that we have the benefit of his leadership and his experience.

Debbie Schaefer, King Township Ward 5 Councillor

  • It is with tremendous respect and enthusiasm that I write this letter in support of Mayor Steve Pellegrini and his re-election as Mayor of King Township. I have lived in King for more than 40 years, and in all that time, I can sincerely say that I have never seen a mayor work as hard, care as deeply, or be as involved in our community as Steve Pellegrini. Steve is everywhere. He attends community functions, supports local businesses and their openings, participates in events throughout the Township, and continually makes himself available to the people he represents. His commitment is not something you simply hear about—you see it firsthand. He genuinely shows up for this community. What impresses me most, however, is that beyond being an exceptional mayor, Steve is an exceptional human being. He has a wonderful heart, a beautiful soul, and a genuine concern for the people of King. His dedication does not feel political—it feels personal. He truly cares about this community and the people who call it home. In my more than four decades living in King, I can confidently say that Steve Pellegrini is the finest mayor I have ever seen serve our community. His energy, accessibility, work ethic, leadership, and love for King are extraordinary. In fact, I have often said that Steve could run for Mayor of Toronto and, in my opinion, would make an outstanding mayor there as well. That is how highly I regard his leadership and his ability to serve people. King Township is extremely fortunate to have someone of his calibre representing us. Words are difficult to find when you have this much respect for someone. Steve Pellegrini has given so much of himself to King Township, and his commitment to our residents deserves to be recognized. I wholeheartedly and without hesitation support Steve Pellegrini for re-election as Mayor of King Township. I believe our community is better because of his leadership, and I sincerely hope he has the opportunity to continue the tremendous work he has been doing for the people of King. Steve, thank you for everything you do. King Township is fortunate to have you. With my highest respect and strongest endorsement.

He has tremendous experience and knows how to build positive relationships with politicians at the Regional, Provincial and Federal level. He also values his members of council, thus creating a highly effective and functional municipal government. He is one of those rare politicians who is doing it for all the right reasons. — Marc Neeb, King Resident - Ward 1

  • Knowing Steve for over twenty years, we have one very important thing in common: we LOVE King Township. In a world of rapid change, that is not what King needs right now. What we need is someone who understands our community, listens to its people, and truly cares about its future. Steve has a proven track record of listening to people, caring about their concerns, and showing up at every event he can. He is always supporting the community groups and volunteers of King, working effectively with Township staff, and generally going the extra mile to help King remain the desirable place to live that it is. Many people take for granted how fortunate we are to have a leader with such common sense, a strong work ethic, and genuine integrity. I wholeheartedly support Steve Pellegrini for Mayor and know he will continue to be a dedicated, approachable, and community-minded leader for our Township.

Let's Keep Up the Momentum…Responsibly

“As Mayor of King, I will continue to build on what has been achieved, not by starting over, but by strengthening the foundations that have made our community strong.”

There is still important work ahead, and my focus remains on completing the projects already underway while continuing to plan responsibly for King Township’s future. The next term will be about delivering on commitments, strengthening our communities and ensuring that growth is managed in a way that protects the quality of life that residents value.

A key priority will be completing Phase 2 of the Zancor Centre, including the outdoor recreation amenities such as pickleball courts, soccer fields, tennis courts and baseball facilities. These additions will build on the success of the facility and provide even more opportunities for residents of all ages to stay active and connected.

I also look forward to advancing the Nobleton Community Park redevelopment, creating a new year-round gathering place for residents. The park will feature a water feature during the summer months that will transform into a refrigerated ice surface in the winter, providing recreation opportunities throughout the year.

Beyond these projects, my priorities include updating King’s Economic Development Plan, establishing the East Humber Park, a 600-acre park preserve, and attracting a major employer to broaden our employment tax base and support long-term financial sustainability. I will also continue working to complete the King City and Nobleton Block Plans, advance the update to the 2051 Official Plan, and invest in our roads to improve safety, quality and reliability.

The goal is clear: to continue building a safe, strong, sustainable and connected King Township - one that manages growth responsibly, invests in the infrastructure and services residents need, and protects the character that makes our communities such a special place to call home.
