  • Election results are reported by King Township after voting closes on Election Day. Unofficial results are typically released on election night, with official results posted once all ballots have been verified and counted.

    You can view results directly on the Township’s official elections website or through local media coverage following the election.

  • While no official debates have been announced yet, Steve is open to participating in candidate debates and public forums. He believes voters should have the opportunity to hear directly from candidates and compare ideas in a respectful, solutions-focused setting. If debates are scheduled, he will take part and details will be shared publicly on our social media and website.

  • Residents are encouraged to reach out at any time with questions, concerns, or ideas. Whether it’s a local issue or a broader discussion about the future of King Township, Steve aims to respond and stay engaged throughout the campaign.

  • You can vote if you are:

    • 18 years of age or older on Election Day.

    • A Canadian citizen.

    • A resident of King Township, or a non-resident owner or tenant of property in King Township, or the spouse of such an owner or tenant.

  • The 2026 King Township Municipal and School Board Election will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026.

  • You can check or update your voter information through the Township's voter registration portal. If you've recently moved, changed your name, or turned 18, it's a good idea to verify your information before Election Day.

  • If you're eligible, you can add or update your information. Registering early helps ensure you receive your Voter Information Letter before the election.

  • No. While it makes the process easier, you can still vote if you bring acceptable identification showing your name and address.

  • You'll need identification that shows your name and address. A driver's licence is one example, but many other documents are accepted. Photo ID is not required.

  • Yes. For the 2026 election, King Township is offering online advance voting. Eligible voters will receive instructions and a unique PIN in their Voter Information Letter.

  • Yes. King Township offers both online advance voting and several in-person advance voting dates before Election Day.

  • Your Election Day voting location depends on where you live. It will be listed on your Voter Information Letter. During advance voting, eligible voters may vote at designated advance voting locations.

  • King Township voters elect:

    • Mayor

    • One Ward Councillor for their ward

    • A School Board Trustee, depending on school board support designation.

  • King Township is divided into six wards. Your ward determines which councillor appears on your ballot. You can use the Township's online ward finder.

  • King Township provides accessible voting locations and accessibility services. A Vote at Home Program is also available for eligible homebound electors.

  • Yes. Non-resident property owners or tenants in King Township, and their spouses, may be eligible to vote in the municipal election.
