A MESSAGE FROM YOUR MAYORAL CANDIDATE IN KING TOWNSHIP

Steve Pellegrini, Mayor of King Township
Steve Pellegrini, Mayor of King Township

For over 35 years, I have dedicated my career to municipal government. I believe that strong communities are built through responsible leadership, sound financial management, and a commitment to serving people -- and that is evident in my track record.

King Township is a remarkable place to call home. From our rural roots and agricultural heritage to our vibrant villages and growing communities, King offers a quality of life that is second to none. I am proud of the progress we have made together, while preserving the character and values that make our Township so special.

Throughout my career, I have consistently brought professional expertise and accountable leadership to every role I have undertaken. As King’s Regional Representative on York Region Council, Chair of York Region’s Finance and Administration Committee, Chair of York Region Police Services Board, Vice Chair of YorkNet, and a Board Member of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, I have consistently advocated for the interests of King residents, at every level of government.

My commitment to our community extends beyond municipal governance. Whether through the King Township Library Board, the Ontario Heritage Trust, Housing York, the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, or local organizations such as the King Township Food Bank and Arts Society King, I have always believed that community service is about giving back and helping others thrive.

One of my greatest passions is supporting parks, recreation, culture, and healthy communities. Through the Mayor’s Annual Golf Tournament, every dollar raised stays right here in King Township to support local initiatives that enhance opportunities for residents of all ages.

None of this work would be possible without the support of my wife, Barbara, and our family. Together, we have raised five children who attended our local schools and remain actively involved in our community. Like so many King families, we have built our lives here and care deeply about the future of our Township.

As I seek your support for re-election, I remain committed to protecting what makes King special, while planning responsibly for the future. My priorities continue to be public safety, fiscal responsibility, infrastructure investment, environmental stewardship, preserving our heritage, supporting local businesses, and ensuring that King remains one of the safest and best places to live, work, and raise a family.

I am grateful for the trust you have placed in me and I am honoured to continue serving our community. Together, we can build on our successes and ensure a strong, prosperous future for King Township.

Sincerely,

A handwritten signature of the name 'Steve'
